Our Annual Athletic Raffle will kick off this week with a goal to raise $7,000.00. The format for this year’s raffle remains similar to past year’s raffles with prizes of 25% of total ticket sales, 15% of total ticket sales, and 10% of total ticket sales–if our Dads’ Club members and athletes put forth their best effort there should be cash prizes awarded in excess of $ 7,000 . Ticket pricing is once again $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, February 5, 2010. Don’t delay… Drawing will take place on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at our Dads’ Club regular meeting.

This year’s Athletic Tent Party will be bigger and better than ever with expanded entertainment, games, and a Texas Hold’em Tournament beginning at 6 p.m.. Organizers are limiting this inaugural tournament to the first 50 players to register. Top three finishers will win cash prizes. The 2007 Athletic Tent Party held at the Total Sports Complex was a success. We had good attendance from a wide cross section of our athletic program as well as Dads’ Club families. The live bands, Scott Cullin and “Hardcore Troubadores” were fantastic and George Garcia and his “Collective Blues” band met all of our high expectations. In addition to the bands, we enjoyed a great bill-of-fare from the grille and fryer manned by Chris Lada, James Smith, Don Squiers, and Mike Eischen.
The kids enjoyed the inflatable obstacle course, giant slide, and bean bag toss while the adults played or watched the softball tournament and visited amongst themselves.
Dennis Barnes organized a bean bag toss tournament with youth, womens, and mens divisions. xx won the youth division, Donna Rudofski finished at the top of the womens bracket, and Michael McDonald took top honors in the men’s division.
Joe Boulus and Donny McDonald organized a men’s softball tournament which included teams from St. Patrick, St. Joseph, Total Sports, St. William (coaches), and Dad/Son team . The championship was won by the Total Sports team. Thanks to Chick Conklin, Tim McClorey, and Mark Wolter for their fine officiating.
The 50/50 raffle was again a great success netting the athletic program nearly $3,000.00. Raffle winners were . A huge thank you goes out to Joe Boulus and Janine for organizing the raffle and to the directors of our various programs and their players for getting the tickets out and sold.
