ST. WILLIAM CRUSADER BASKETBALL

St William Dads’ Club would like to extend an invitation young athletes to join the fun and excitement of boys and girls basketball. Registration is open to boys and girls who will be in the 2nd through 8th grade this fall.  Come and be a part of our continued tradition and success.  Registration will be open October 10th, 2025 or until teams are full.

TEAMS/PLAYER REQUIREMENTS:

CYO allows Basketball programs to have two levels of teams both for boys and girls, Junior Varsity (JV) (4th-5th-6th grade) and Varsity (7th-8th grade). St William offers boys and girls teams at these levels. For 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders we run an Intramural program.  Based on program needs, we may evaluate players’ skill levels for team placement (aka if skilled enough a player could be asked to play on the higher-level team).  Each player must be baptized Catholic or attend a Catholic school. Players from the surrounding area of St William Parish can be accepted to our teams. Those parishes include St William Walled Lake, Holy Family Novi, Prince of Peace West Bloomfield, St Mary’s Milford, St Thomas West Bloomfield, and Holy Spirit Highland.  If you have a question or need clarification, contact our athletic director at ad@saintwilliam.net.

The JV and Varsity practice twice a week with typically 1 game per week. The IM teams will likely practice one day per week with attempts to schedule games with other IM Teams during the season. Camp and practices start the beginning of November.  We will be using the Gamechanger App once again to post practice/game info.  Please look for updates as I will begin posting updates as the year progresses. Depending on the numbers of athletes, the number of teams may change for the upcoming season.

For the 2025/2026 season, boys’ varsity (7/8th) will likely practice Mon 6:00-7:30 and Wed 6:30-8:00 with JV (5/6th) practicing Tue/Thurs 7:00-8:30. Girls’ JV (5/6th) will likely practice Tue/Thurs 5:30-7:00.  IM will likely practice Wednesday with girls from 4:30-5:30 and boys 5:30-6:30. These times may change based on registration, but this is the anticipated practice schedule.
