ST. WILLIAM CRUSADER FOOTBALL
St William would like to extend an invitation to all young men to join our “Football Family”. Come and be a part of our continued tradition and success. It is the goal of our staff at St William to grow our relationship with our neighboring Parishes and continue to promote participation in CYO athletics. Registration is open to all young men who will be in the 3rd through 8th grade in the Fall.
JANUARY – OCTOBER; Registration opens in January and is always open until the three teams are filled.
JUNE; Annual Football Clinic- come and meet the coaches, future teammates and learn the fundamentals of football. Wear shorts, t-shirt and football cleats (not required). Pizza and beverages will be provided following the clinic. No charge for the clinic- open to everyone, so bring a friend who is thinking about playing football.
JUNE-JULY; Summer conditioning starts with one to two days a week conditioning. Come and start getting into shape for the football season with other Crusaders. No charge-open to everyone. Attendance is not mandatory, but recommended.
AUGUST; Equipment handout, St William provides full football gear for all players, except cleats. Additional padded T-shirts, and padded griddle/pants are available at a discounted purchase price.
AUGUST; Camp Week/ Practice starts the Monday of the first full week of August, concluding with a Green/ White scrimmage and the Family Cook Out!
AUGUST; 4 Way Scrimmage held at Catholic Central the weekend prior to the start of the season.
SEPTEMBER; the season starts Labor Day weekend.
OCTOBER; the season concludes with the CYO Championship Game held at Ford Field the morning of PREP BOWL. St William Football Program then honors our players and coaches at the end of season banquet.
CYO allows programs to have three levels of teams, Freshman(3rd-4th grade), Junior Varsity(JV)(5th-6th grade) and Varsity(7th-8th grade). St William offers teams at all three levels. Based on the number of players we have signed up by the team registration date of June 1st will determine which teams we will field for the upcoming season. Each player must be baptized catholic or attend a catholic school. Players from the surrounding area of St William Parish can be accepted to our team. Those parishes include St William Walled Lake, St James Novi, Holy Family Novi, Prince of Peace West Bloomfield, St Patrick White Lake, St Patrick Brighton, Holy Spirit Hamburg, St Mary’s Milford, St Thomas West Bloomfield, St Joseph South Lyon, Holy Spirit Highland, and St Mary Magdalene Brighton.
